L’ispirazione è nata la prima volta che ho visto una foto di Villa Arconati. Mi sono subito innamorata di questo gioiello settecentesco in cui ho immaginato un matrimonio intimo di due giovani in fuga d’amore.
Il lavoro è un alternarsi di luci ombre e penombre e i colori pastello hanno volutamente un aspetto polveroso per accordarsi con gli ambienti della residenza .
Villa Arconati è una delle ville storiche del Parco delle Groane, situata a Bollate, nella frazione di Castellazzo di Bollate da cui prende il nome. È un esempio di barocco lombardo del XVIII secolo ed è stato dichiarato monumento nazionale. Per il suo stile ampio e grandioso, la piccola Versailles italiana fu definita nelle guide del XVIII secolo.
Elisabeth e Gregory decidono di giurarsi amore eterno in Italia e precisamente nella storica Villa Arconati.
I due giovani, vintage per attitudine, lui biondo, algido, lei pallida, delicata con una carnagione eburnea e lunghi capelli scuri, sembrano uscire da un dipinto preraffaellita.
Si rincorrono scalzi nelle stanze della villa, scrivono le loro promesse tra poesie, vecchi calamai e antichità. Sono fuori dal tempo totalmente immersi nell’ambiente che li circonda.
Il first look avviene di fronte a un meraviglioso camino: si vedono per la prima volta in abiti nuziali e un moto di emozione li pervade. La cerimonia è intima silenziosa in un’atmosfera rarefatta avvolti in un abbraccio floreale nelle scuderie della villa ai piedi della statua di Nettuno.
Il banchetto è stato allestito nella sala da ballo con tovagliato pervinca, porcellane nei toni pastello e impreziosito da composizioni floreali a cascata;
a parte un elegante angolo dei dolci con la torta nuziale sulla quale è riportata una poesia di Emily Dickinson.
The inspiration was born the first time I saw a photo of Villa Arconati.
I immediately fell in love with this eighteenth-century jewel in which I imagined an intimate wedding of two young people on the run of love.
The work is an alternation of shadows and penumbra lights and the pastel colors deliberately have a dusty aspect to match the rooms of the residence.
Villa Arconati is one of the historic villas of the Groane Park, located in Bollate, in the hamlet of Castellazzo di Bollate from which it takes its name. It is an example of 18th century Lombard Baroque and has been declared a national monument. For its large and grandiose style, the small Italian Versailles was defined in the eighteenth-century guides.
Elisabeth and Gregory decide to swear eternal love in Italy and precisely in the historic Villa Arconati.
The two young men seem to come out of a Pre-Raphaelite painting:
they chase each other barefoot in the rooms of the villa, they write their promises among poems, old inkwells and antiquities they are out of time totally immersed in an ancient romanticism.
The first look occurs in front of a wonderful fireplace: they are seen for the first time in wedding dresses and the emotion suddenly assails them. The ceremony is intimate, silent in a rarefied atmosphere; they are in the stables of the villa wrapped in a floral embrace under the statue of Neptune.
The banquet was set up in the ballroom with periwinkle-colored tablecloths, pastel-colored porcelain and embellished with cascading floral arrangements;
apart from an elegant corner of the desserts with the wedding cake on which a poem by Emily Dickinson is reported.
